An annual general meeting marked by gratitude and renewal
On October 22, COMQUAT held its annual general meeting, marking the end of the 2024-2025 fiscal year and the beginning of a new year full of exciting projects and prospects.
The evening provided an opportunity to present the 2024-2025 annual report, which highlights the vitality of the organization with 517 registrations, more than 1,000 workshops, and 1,691 hours of classes offered to learners. These figures reflect the ongoing commitment of the team and volunteers to the mission of literacy and francization.
The AGM was also an opportunity to thank Sylvie Pelletier, outgoing Executive Director, for her five years of leadership marked by rigor and humanity, and to warmly welcome Andréanne Poulin-Lavigne, the new Executive Director, who will ensure the continuity of this mission with passion and creativity.
The 2025-2026 Board of Directors was also elected:
- Florence Le Garrec, President.
- Georges Bertrand, Vice-President.
- Jacques Ménard, Treasurer.
- Séverine Legru, Secretary.
- Kateryna Shatkovska, Administrator.
- Peter Konaktchiev, Director.
Next year’s action plan will focus on developing new community projects, strengthening regional partnerships, and consolidating service offerings.
COMQUAT is now entering its 40th year of existence, more deeply rooted than ever in its community, with a team motivated to continue the work it has begun.
